Come the blistering hot summer and the first thing many of us think of is soft-drinks. Even though they may seem a fantastic way of cooling down, they cause many harmful effects leading to health problems. In comparison, fruit juices are full of natural goodness and quench our thirst too. Orange, by far, the most popular fruit, also has tremendous health value due to the number of phytonutrient compounds it has. It also has a number of antioxidants which are of great help for your body. Many may not know that one orange can supply you with 116.12% of your recommended daily dose of vitamin C.
An orange has over 170 different phytochemicals and more than 60 flavonoids making them very useful against many heart and vision problems, although they may not provide the same benefits as carrots. By increasing orange intake you can have a healthier immune system. It works greatly against different kinds of cancer too. Most of the orange and yellow fruits in the market contain good amount of antioxidants in the form of vitamin C as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids. Research is being done to find out the innumerable benefits oranges provide us. It is well known that eating an orange regularly can rid us of many simple and common health troubles which we face in our daily lives.
Your chances of developing rheumatoid arthritis are minimized by having a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice daily. It also helps in bringing down the risk of colon cancer due to the presence of carotenoids like vitamin C. A very common problem with ageing people is osteoarthritis, asthma and arthritis. This problem can be curtailed by having orange in your daily diet to help age in a much better fashion.
Cholesterol is the major cause of most of our heart problems. Due to increased intake of fattening junk food our body is overworked. This overworking proves to be very costly for us. To avoid all that a healthy and clean diet without much processed food can help us a great deal. The vitamin C present in oranges helps to prevent the oxidation of cholesterol as well as protecting you from colds and ear infection.

Orange juice extracts are used to make household cleaning products and as natural agents protecting plants from insect attacks.
To bring sparkle to your yellow teeth, rub inner white part of the orange peel.
Another way to shine your teeth is to combine dried and powdered bay leaf with dried orange peel to make a great teeth whitener.
Suffering from urinary infection, consuming orange juice helps to increase the acidity level and minimizes the growth of bacteria.
Chewing a vitamin C tablet everyday also proves very beneficial in reducing levels of acidity and avoid further infections.
